Why buy Art With Heart?

Many people like the idea of giving back to the community and supporting a worthy cause.  But sometimes this good intention never actually comes to fruition. At Art With Heart we hope to invigorate the act of giving by offering buyers the opportunity to purchase something beautiful for themselves, whilst also supporting a worthy cause.

We aim to create a mutually beneficial relationship between buyers, artists and charities.  Our aims are:

1. To support artists.  We promote the works of our artists on our website.  We also try to obtain some promotion of our artists' (and also the venue) upcoming live art shows on the social media of the charity that the art work is going to support.  That way we hope to increase exposure for our artists through Art With Heart and if possible the charities whom we support.  40% of the purchase price of all works sold or auctioned through Art With Heart goes back to the artist.

2. To support charities.  Unless stated 30% of all proceeds go to charities.  We seek to energise the whole notion of giving to charities and supporting the community through linking up communities (ie buyers, artists, charities).  We want people to feel involved, connected and personally invested in a charity in a live way.

3. To provide buyers with something beautiful and special.  Whether it be the experience of watching a one of a kind live art show, or a unique piece of artwork, we want our buyers to purchase something that they love and treasure and that resonates with them.

We hope that someone who purchases art from Art With Heart is able to also remember the charity they supported when they look at that piece in their home over the years to come.  So that the artwork has both a physical beauty, but also the other beauty that comes from helping others and giving care and support. In addition as a gift, artwork from Art With Heart allows the recipient to be given something beautiful on a special occasion but also to have support provided in their name to a worthy cause.

Almost all businesses need to purchase art for their foyers or offices.  Sometimes in the fast pace that modern life is this becomes a mundane rushed item on the "to do list". But what if purchasing art could have another significance, so a business could support its community in a meaningful way while also purchasing art?

What if we could not just buy something beautiful, but do something beautiful. Buy art. Give heart. Buy Art With Heart.

How did Art With Heart start?

Art With Heart grew organically from art charity events its founder, internationally exhibiting artist, Zoë Durand was involved in. Zoë had been part of exhibitions where some of the sale price went to support charities, and had also begun performing live art shows to raise funds for charity. Many artists are involved in donating a portion of sale proceeds to charities from time to time.  She thought, but what if there could be a place and space where a portion of all art sold always went to support charities?

More generally from Zoë's perspective life does not get much better than giving love or producing art (although a cloudless day at the beach is also up there in her list of the sublime in life). What if love and art could be combined?  What if art could be purchased with even more heart?  And Art With Heart was born.
